The service light is nothing more than a mileage counter.  The service light should be reset when the car is serviced and should light up within the allotted miles for the next scheduled service. 

Not normally.  Since the service light is a reminder of service due, it is not usually associated with urgent mechanical problems.  Just give us a call for scheduled service.

Yes.  The service light will illuminate each time you start your car and will turn off after two minutes of driving.
